Libya's Al-Ahli of Tripoli celebrated on Wednesday a 2-0 victory over Africa Sports d'Abidjan of Cote d'Ivoire, in the first of their two friendly games in Tripoli stadium.

Mohammed Ghannodi's brace in the 28th and 34th minutes was enough to excite the fans who filled the stadium hours before the kick off, as the match was not aired live on TV at the request of coach Jamal Bonowarh.

The two clubs are scheduled to meet again next Saturday at the same stadium.

Al Ahli is preparing for its encounter against Onze Createurs of Mali in mid-February within the CAF Champions League qualifier.
