Libya’s national soccer team has lost 2-3 to Nigeria in Sfax, Tunisia in the fourth round match for Group E of AFCON 2019 qualifiers.

Nigeria scored Tuesday two consecutive goals at the minutes 14 and 17 by Odion Ighalo and Ahmed Moses after Libyan players put out a clumsy defense.

Libya then put some attacks and managed to create chances leading to the first goal by Mohammed Za'bia at the minute 35, then the second goal and the equalizer at the minute 74 by Ahmed Ali.

Libya then played in a very high rhythm and tried to score the winner but Nigeria scored the third goal at the minute 81, putting Libya’s hopes to rest.

Libya now remains third in the group with four points while Nigeria becomes the first with 9 points, leaving South Africa second with 8 and Seychelles last with one point after tying the score with Bafana Bafana today.
