The UN Special Adviser on Libya Stephanie Williams has reiterated that the only way to solve the legitimacy crisis in Libya is through the ballot boxes.

Williams made her comments during a meeting at the Peace and Prosperity Party HQ in Tripoli. She briefed the party head Muhammad Khaled Al-Ghweil and other members on the objectives of her mission in Libya in her capacity as the Special Adviser to the Secretary-General of the United Nations.

Taking to Twitter on Monday evening, the UN Rep. said she had an interesting exchange about the party's views on the political and economic future of Libya, including putting elections back on track as a priority.

She stressed the crucial role of the political parties in the institutional and political life in Libya and to lift the voices of Libyans who registered to vote.
