Tunisian President, Kais Saied telephoned Monday the new Libyan Presidential Council's Head, Mohammed Menfi, inviting him and the members of the new executive authority to visit Tunis as soon as possible.
Saied welcomed the election of the new executive authority by the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum, saying he was relieved by seeing Libyans choose their leaders by their own will.
He said a lasting solution to the Libyan crisis can only by a Libyan-Libyan one, adding that this was the position he spoke about when Tunis hosted the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum in November 2020.
Menfi, on the other hand, told the Tunisian President that he looked forward to open new chapters in relations with Tunis, hailing the stationary stance by Saied regarding the Libyan situation.
