A delegation of social components from Bani Walid arrived on Sunday in Tripoli to discuss consolidating the ceasefire in cooperation with the elders and dignitaries of the capital.

The delegation has been mandated by Tarhouna elders to speak on their behalf to ceasefire fighting that has been ongoing since last Wednesday in southern Tripoli, spilling Saturday to Tarhouna.

The delegation is composed of the social council of Werfalla tribes, Salam Charity, Wadi Al-Khair Charity and a number of journalists from Bani Walid.

Fighting in Tripoli's southern parts broke out last Wednesday between the 7th Brigade and Tripoli Protection Force.

Meanwhile, The Presidential Council's Interior Ministry said its apparatuses had begun a security plan to secure the Tripoli International Airport and its surrounding.

On Facebook, the Interior Ministry said Sunday the minister Fathi Bashagha ordered last Thursday the General Directorate of Central Security to secure the airport, stressing on having all personnel on high alert.

11 people - mostly fighters - have been killed and 43 others have been injured due to the clashes, the spokesman of the Health Ministry, Ameen Al-Hashmi said.
