The Municipalities of Ajilat, Zuwara, Al-Jamail, Manshiya, Ragdalin and Zulton, have threatened to stop gas supplies to Mellitah Complex if the unfair distribution of load shedding between cities continues.
The Mayors of these towns stressed during their meeting with the officials of Mellitah Complex on the need to address the problem of power cuts and to equalize the distribution of load shedding between the cities.
The Mayors informed the officials of the resentment and anger of citizens in the western region for the power outages that last for long hours amid these difficult circumstances, which had its negative impact on all spheres of public life, noting that this may force citizens to undertake actions that may have negative implications on the region.
A number of cities and towns in the western region reject to be part of the load shedding program set by the General Electricity Company, which added more hours of power cuts to the other cities.
