The Ministry of Transport issued a statement Monday to clear up the confusion that emerged from postponing the flight scheduled to transport members of Parliament from Tripoli to Tobruk, stressing that the flight faced technical and logistical issues.

The ministry's statement came in response to the remarks of Parliament Speaker Aguila Saleh, who accused the government of disrupting the parliament session that was held in Tobruk on Monday, considering that what happened was planned in advance and harms the national security.

"Investigations by the Civil Aviation Authority and the authorities specialized in supervising air traffic and airports showed that the flight's postponement was for technical and logistical issues," the Ministry of Transport said.

According to the ministry, Mitiga airport lacked a free landing spot for the plane at the time, which led to a temporary delay, confirming that the aircraft was permitted to resume its trip after the space was available.

In conclusion, the ministry said it is an executive body that provides services to all Libyans, calling on the media to report with facts and responsibility to avoid misinformation and rumors.
