The head of the Presidential Council (PC), Mohammed Menfi, has chaired a meeting devoted to discussing achieving the highest levels of transparency regarding the country’s revenues.

The meeting was attended by the Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdel Hamid Dbeibah, the Governor of the Central Bank of Libya (CBL), Siddiq Al-Kabeer, the heads of the Administrative Control Authority, Suleiman Al-Shanti, the Audit Bureau, Khaled Shakshak, and the Finance Committee of the House of Representatives, Omar Tantoush.

The officials reviewed the progress of unifying the CBL, the financial conditions in light of the current economic situation, and the role of banks in reviving economic activity and alleviating burdens on citizens.

In the same context, Menfi affirmed the PC's continued efforts to unify all institutions and to reach consensus in the file of national reconciliation to achieve stability in the country, stressing the importance of supporting the political track to reach a final solution to the political crisis and holding simultaneous parliamentary and presidential elections.
