Forces from Omar Al-Mukhtar Operations Room of Dignity Operation abducted Friday a doctor at Wihda Hospital by the name Mohammed Al-Jadaemi from Lathron area in western Derna.

Mohammed was kidnapped as he headed to Soussa district in west Derna to get some fuel and basic goods as Kersa road was opened for some hours by Dignity Operation.

Meanwhile, eyewitnesses said that Mohammed's brother, Anis Al-Jadaemi, was arrested by Dignity Operation forces as he refused to go back without his brother. The fate of the two is still unknown.

Relatedly, Derna Wihda Hospital launched an emergency call as it had run out of medicines after all routes were closed by Omar Al-Mukhtar Operations Room at the orders of Khalifa Haftar, who stressed the city of Derna must be choked by a merciless siege.

In a letter to the Health Minister of the Interim Government in east Libya, the Director of Wihda Hospital Mansour Ben Faed said the hospital is suffering from a lack in everything including medications, as well as fuel for power generators to keep kidney patients' section and infants' incubators running.

Ben Faed added that ambulances and transport for medics have also become a burden as the stock of diesel fuel has finished, adding that the hospital also ran out of oxygen, which obliged it to stop all types of surgeries.

"We warn of a humanitarian crisis due to the siege that is depriving the hospital from the necessary needs," he added, urging all official authorities to allow the incoming of fuel, medicines and other needs to Derna from neighboring areas.
