Libyan Air Force ramps up airstrikes on Haftar's forces in Al-Watiya airbase

Libya's Army spokesman, Mohammed Gununu, said the Air Force warplanes had carried out six airstrikes on Al-Watiya airbase, destroying three armored vehicles, two military vehicles and several positions for Khalifa Haftar's forces.

Meanwhile, Volcano of Rage Operation under the command of the Government of National Accord (GNA) said Monday that two more airstrikes had been conducted on Al-Watiya airbase, destroying a number of military vehicles, adding that a third air raid destroyed supplies' vehicles near Mazda town as they were en route to Haftar's forces.

Libyan Air Force raided Al-Watiya airbase three times on Sunday, neutralizing ten fighters from Haftar's forces, leaving them either killed or injured inside the airbase.

Meanwhile, on Al-Khalla frontline in south Tripoli, GNA forces had targeted Haftar's forces with heavy artillery shelling, destroying two Grad launching vehicles and a vehicle laden with ammunition.

Likewise, tens of landmines had been removed after being planted by Haftar's forces in areas under their control before escaping from Mashroa Al-Hadba frontline.

According to the media office of Burkan Al-Ghadab Operation, the same landmine truck was used by ISIS in Sirte before it was liberated by Al-Bunyan Al-Marsous Operation forces I'm December 2016.

In the meantime, UAE warplane in support of Haftar's forces carried out three airstrikes on Abu Grein in eastern Misrata, killing three fighters from the Libyan Army under GNA's command and injuring others.
