Prime Minister of the interim government (GNU) Abdul Hamid Dbeibah has reiterated Libya's continued support for Palestine.

In a joint press conference with his Palestinian counterpart, Muhammad Shtayyeh, in Tripoli Monday, Dbeibah highlighted that the Palestinians in Libya are treated the same as other Libyans, without distinction.

For his part, Palestinian Prime Minister Muhammad Shtayyeh praised the Libyan position on the Palestinian issue, stressing that Libya remains supportive of Palestine's cause and people. "Libya is and has been the home that embraced the Palestinian people, their cause, pain, and hopes," Shtayyeh said.

During his visit to Libya, PM Shtayyeh inked with the Libyan government five agreements in various fields, including in the political, economic, commercial, and technical areas.

PM Shtayyeh arrived at Matiga Airport in Tripoli Sunday, where he was received by Interior Minister Khaled Mazen.
