The former head of the Petroleum Facilities Guard (PFG) in central Libya Ibrahim Jodran has arrived in Algeria's Annaba city to stay in there after one week of his release by an armed group in Nalut, western Libya, local social media reported.

Other sources said that Jodran's wife and children, his brother Fares, and other relatives, disappeared in Tripoli as they were living downtown the capital, adding that they could be arrested by the Special Deterrent Force.

Lately, news about the fate of Jodran, who is the main reason behind the closure of Libyan oil terminal for over two years, has become uncertain as many sources said he was arrested by an armed group in Nalut when he was leaving for Tunisia late last year.

In a letter attributed to the former Mayor of Ajdabiya Salim Jodran, Ibrahim's brother - which he sent to foreign ambassadors to Libya - he said the kidnap of his brother's family is illegal as there are women and children, urging the Presidential Council and the international community to release them, wishing the case to end before escalation.

Meanwhile, the Special Deterrent Force is the main direction of accusations regarding the case, however; it did not claim responsibility, neither did any other party.
