A verbal altercation between two MPs of the House of Representatives ended a seating abruptly on Tuesday.

The dispute started after a heated discussion about the transfer of the location of the House of Representatives from Tobruk to the city of Benghazi.

A video of the altercation depicted the quarrel between the two MPs, Issa Araibi, who rejects the political agreement, and Faraj Bohashm, who supports it.

Bohashem accused Araibi of making “under the table” contacts with the Presidential Council in Tripoli, while in public he declares his rejection to the Presidential Council.

According to a statement by Araibi, the verbal altercation occurred because of the rejection of Bohashem to move the parliament to the city of Benghazi.

“The constitutional declaration states that Benghazi is the seat of the parliament and is now safe and ready to receive it,” Areybi said, adding that Bohashim thinks that Tripoli is safer than Benghazi and demanded the transfer of the parliament to it.
