WHO holds workshop to help Libyan doctors tackle chronic diseases

The Office of World Health Organization (WHO) in Libya has organized a workshop in Tunis on prevention and control of incommunicable diseases.

The organization explained that consultations focused on identifying and addressing current gaps and challenges facing primary and secondary health care services, in order to enhance the capacity of Libyan cadres to help tackle chronic diseases, which last for long periods and develop slowly, such as heart diseases, stroke, cancer, diabetes and lung diseases.
