The Man-made River Authority has said water flow to Tripoli was restored to its normal range on Sunday night.
"The engineers worked under severe security circumstances to fix the fault," MMRA explained, stressing that the problem was beyond its control.
Several areas in Tripoli witnessed low-pressure water supplies, while others experienced a complete cut off since Saturday night.
MMRA did not issue any explanation of the reasons for the interruption.
