The management of the Man-made river project said on Saturday that it had been given permission to start pumping water to the Libyan cities after the project's system was halted for more than ten consecutive days.

The management was undergoing a maintained work when an armed group loyal to the former regime threatened to stop water supply to Tripoli in order to respond to their request of releasing one of relatives detained in Tripoli.

According to the management, the operation of wells began immediately after receiving the order, referring that the water will be back to normal to all areas in turn, no later than two days.
