The Central Committee for Municipal Council Elections (CCMCE) announced the opening of the registry for voters in 43 municipalities in order to complete the electoral process in its second phase.

In a press conference, the CCMCE stated that the voter registry will be opened in the city of Benghazi next Monday, noting that the registry will be opened in 30 further municipalities next week, including municipalities that are expected to open for the first time for voting in their areas.

The committee indicated that the electoral system will be set up as a list system for individuals, however, it confirmed that there would be special status for women and those suffering from special needs, confirming the re-voting in four polling centers in the municipality of Souq Al-Jumaa.
