The head of the Civil Aviation Authority, Nasr al-Din Shayeb Al-Ain confirmed that the US civil aviation has lifted partially the ban on its civil aviation to overfly the Libyan airspace, at a hight above 30 thousand feet.

"The partial lifting is a step forward but will not be effective until airports are provided with more security measures and services, which will pave the way for lifting the ban on Libyan civil airports completely," the Civil Aviation Authority head said.

He also confirmed a meeting last week with the European Commission for European Civil Aviation in Tunisia, to discuss lifting the ban on Libyan airports by the Europeans.
