The Assistant Secretary-General and coordinator of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), Raisedon Zenenga, reaffirmed the full support of UNSMIL, along with that of the international community in general, for the upcoming elections, praising the positive political developments and its ensuing reflection on peaceful and successful elections.
This came during a meeting between the Chairman of the Board of the High National Elections Commission (HNEC), Imad Al-Sayah, on Tuesday, with Zenenga, according to the media office of HNEC.
During the meeting, they reviewed the developments of the electoral process scheduled for next December 24, along with the progress made in the legislative file and current preparations by the commission, which covers several aspects of training and vital logistical works.
