The UN Development Program (UNDP) has provided the Municipality of Sabha with spare parts to equip the damaged fire engines of the city's civil defence and get them going again.

The UNDP explained on its Twitter account it delivered equipment and spare parts to repair six firetrucks that were out of service for the past six years.

It indicated that the supplies, which were funded from the EU and through the Resilience for Libya program, would increase the Sabha Civil Defence’s capacity for emergency response for around 230 thousand people.
