The UN Envoy to Libya, Ghassan Salame, called Monday on the Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR) Aqila Saleh to clarify his position on the constitution referendum law and to confirm whether or not there has been a vote on the resolution.

Salame explained via a press statement that the HoR has put the country and the UN mission in a state of uncertainty in respect to the referendum law passed by the majority of MPs, insisting that the work of the institutions in Libya falls short of what is needed, including the HoR.

Aqila Saleh had made a statement last week implying that he could retreat from the constitution referendum law.
