Anadolu Agency quoted Mortada Kornfil, the Head of the Turkish Libyan Business Council in the Turkish Foreign Economic Relations Council as saying that the value of Turkish exports to Libya during the first four months of 2021 reached approximately 826 million dollars, showing an increase of Turkish exports of 58% compared to the same period last year.

“The interest of the Government of National Unity (GNU), in Libya, led by Abdul Hamid Dbeibah, with Turkish investors, reflected very positively on the trade exchange figures between both countries.” Kornfil added,

He emphasized that the aim is to raise the capacity of Turkish exports to Libya to 10 billion dollars annually, indicating that there should be no obstacle in reaching that figure, if trade continues as expected.

Anadolu also reported that the value of Turkish exports to Libya rose to the expected level during this period, at approximately 826 million dollars.
