The chairperson of the Foreign Economic Relations Board's Turkey-Libya Business Council, Murtaza Karanfil, said Turkey’s exports to Libya reached 1.96 billion dollars in the first ten months of 2021, adding in a statement on Friday that Libya is a market that cannot be ignored as it is full of investment opportunities in all sectors.

Karanfil said that in last October only, Turkish exports to Libya hit 243 million dollars - 76% higher than October 2020, while the total of the last ten months is 61% higher than the same period of 2020. He said the biggest export sector was, during last month, in defense and aviation industry with 15.000 and 463%.

Karanfil said he is following closely the political and commercial relations between Libya and Turkey, urging Turkish businesspersons to increase their investments in Libya.
