The spokesperson of the Tunisian Defence Ministry, Belhassen Oueslati, said that a military patrol near the border with Libya managed to seize a truck that was trying to smuggle quantities of ammunition from Libya into Tunisia.
Tunisian News Agency quoted Oueslati as saying that the security forces fired at the truck and forced it to stop in the buffer zone between the land border of Tunisia and Libya near Tataouine city.
According to Oueslati, the truck contained a pair of binoculars, in addition to a quantity of live ammunition that was hidden in cartons.
