Sources from Misrata confirmed that a meeting will be held next week between elders from Tawergha and Misrata to adopt a social peace pact between the two cities.

The head of the Local Council of Tawergha, Abdul Rahman Shikshak, clarified in a press statement Sunday that the security and service preparations are continuing, noting that there have been ongoing contacts with the Electricity and Public Services Company to complete their work as soon as possible.

He added that Tawergha IDPs residing in Qarara Al-Qatif camp are experiencing difficult conditions due to the lack of many basic requirements.

A number of IDPs of Tawergha have been living in camps in Qarara Al-Qatif area in Bani Walid city for nearly two months, after the Presidential Council set February 1 as the date for their return, but failed to implement his pledges.
