The backup forces of Sirte-Jufra Operations Room have welcomed the planned meeting of the Joint Military Commission in the city of Sirte over the coming days.
In a statement, the backup forces rejected to reopen the road to cities controlled by foreign mercenaries belonging to the Russian Wagner Group and the Janjaweed mercenaries who are affiliated with warlord Haftar’s armed groups.
The statement called for the expulsion of all foreign mercenaries from Libya, along with the withdrawal of Haftar and his followers from their positions.
It also called for complete accountability for all criminals involved in war crimes and the slaughter of innocent civilians, along with the right of treatment of those wounded as a direct result of Haftar’s aggression against the capital.
