Shop owners in Abu Salim Market in Tripoli have cleared their stores from goods to safer places as a precautionary measure in case of clashes spill over to their area.

Bloggers shared photos on social networking sites of traders in Abu Salim Market loading goods on cargo vehicles and transferring them to safer locations for fear of destruction and looting, especially as clashes are advancing rapidly towards their area.

Acts of looting and vandalism have been reportedly committed in western Tripoli districts amid the tension and insecurity conditions in the capital due to the armed clashes that broke out last week in the southern districts, where they are continuing to spread to more populated areas.
