Various equipment and spare parts for the maintenance of electricity generating units arrived at Tripoli Port on Saturday, according to a report by the General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL).

The company said that this shipment comes as part of its efforts to improve the efficiency of the electricity grid, whilst pointing out that the equipment is set to be used to maintain the power stations of Zawiya, South Tripoli, North Benghazi and Al-Zueitina.

The GECOL expressed its optimism that the maintenance work would contribute to the improvement of the production of the generating stations and balancing the deficit in the electrical network.
