The Scientific and Pandemics Committees recommended announcing the state of emergency in Libya, and shutting down the electronic system of vaccination.

In a meeting with the Minister of Health Ali Al-Zanati on Saturday, the committee urged for starting giving the second dose of AstraZeneca vaccine once available, calling for executing a vaccination campaign for the workers at the quarantine centers, hospitals and public institutions, and for doubling the number of beds and quadrupling oxygen stock.

It added that there is a need to open quarantine units inside healthcare centers and to distribute vaccines to all healthcare centers and municipalities, urging for raising awareness on media and adding to the PCR capacity of laboratories and for resorting exclusively to the scientific committee for information regarding the pandemic.
