The Russian Ministry of Defense says it has evacuated 188 citizens of different nationals, including Libyans, from Kherson, Ukraine's southern border with Russia.
"Soldiers of the Southern Military District provided a safe passage for 188 citizens from Russia, Moldova, Egypt, Syria, Libya, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, and Ukraine from the Kherson province of Ukraine to the territory of Russia," the TASS news agency reported.
According to the same source, a convey of busses and cars carrying people who wanted to leave departed from the city's main square towards Russia under the supervision of the Russian military.
