Residents of Msallata city east of Tripoli had staged a protest to denounce the arresting of two of the city's residents on charges of belonging to the ISIS group, stressing that such accusations are totally unfounded.

In a statement, the protesters said that the young men who were arrested by the Anti-Terrorism Force on charges of joining ISIS had participated in the war to liberate Sirte from the extremist group.

According to the statement, the young men who are working in the city's isolation center were taken from their workplace in front of the patients, which caused panic and fear in the isolation centre.

On Saturday, the Anti-Terrorism Force announced that it had arrested several people in the city of Msallata on charges of joining ISIS.
