Spokesman of the Presidential Council (PC), Mohammed El-Sallak, denied Monday reports of an armed group attack on the headquarters of the PC in Tripoli.

On Facebook, the Information Office of the PC also denied the occurrence of any exchange of fire in PC vicinity, stressing that the PC is functioning normally and all staff are performing their work from the PC's premises as usual.

Several social media pages reported an armed attack Monday on the PC's headquarters without causing any damage. The group who carried out the attack and the motives behind it remained unknown.
