The Presidential Council (PC), issued a decision on Saturday, to form a committee to review the spending of the Ministry of Health for the financial years 2019 and 2020.
The committee is headed by a member of the PC, Abdelsalam Kajman.
It is set to include PC member Ahmed Hamza, Minister of Finance Faraj Bumatari and Talal Ajaj, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Health Insurance Fund.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, Mohamed Haitham, is presently facing charges of corruption, which may oust him from his position in the upcoming cabinet reshuffle.
