The Presidential Council (PC) issued Sunday a decision to form a committee for security arrangements in Greater Tripoli headed by the Director of the Military Police Agency Major General Hammad Abboud and the membership of ten others.

The committee is to be assigned to develop measures to consolidate the ceasefire and to formulate plans and recommendations to secure the capital, in addition to replacing irregular forces with police and army.

The resolution also tasks the committee to make a plan to gather and limit the proliferation of arms and to request international assistance to develop and implement the security arrangements.
