The European Union Naval Force Mediterranean Operation IRINI said that it has conducted 250 friendly approaches and 6000 hailings since its launch in March 2020.
IRINI added that these operations included Libya-bound ships and boats.
Operation IRINI was launched on March 31, 2020, to monitor the implementation of the Security Council resolution on the arms embargo to Libya and has been extended until March 31, 2023.
