The National Oil Corporation (NOC) has welcomed the statement issued by the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) and the international community, which affirmed the exclusive right of the NOC in importing and exporting crude oil and its derivatives.
The NOC considered the mission's statement as an important step to thwart attempts to divide the country, stressing its rejection to exploit oil militarily, as it constitutes a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law that amounts to a war crime, according to the NOC.
