The contests commission of the CAF decided to hold CHAN draw on next Friday in Rabat, Morocco after the all teams qualified to the African sports event, which will be held in Morocco, including Rwanda that beat Ethiopia. Administrative Control Authority in Tripoli suspended 26 employees at the Libyan embassy in Tunisia, calling on the foreign ministry to sack them. The authority said in a statement Monday that its research and documentation showed expansion of contraction and end of employees’ contacts, besides contracting some staffers against the laws of the foreign ministry, calling on the embassy in Tunis to apply the new order in a one-week period starting November 12.

The Head of the Presidential Council Fayez Al-Sirraj said that the suffering of the people in Libya has reached beyond acceptable, adding that he hoped the different parties hindering the political process would know this. He said so in a meeting with the HoR and HCS delegations in Tripoli. According to the media office of Al-Sirraj, the meeting discussed the latest in the political situation in Libya, while all the attendees expressed hope that Libya’s political process would help a modern peaceful state. Al-Sirraj added that there will be urgent solutions to some of the problems in the country, while the rest of the issues will have gradual solutions according to a long-term plan.

A group of outlaws vandalized and looted a power-transmission station in southern Libya related to the General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL) which transmits power from northern Libya to its south. GECOL said all air conditions and some devices were stolen, warning of repeating what happened to Al-Aril station, which was shut down last year. It called for quick solution to the issue before having the south plunged into a blackout.

Dignity Operation forces arrested the commander of the third base factory in Benghazi Colonel Ali Al-Shikhi over charges of “violations at work” such as ordering armed vehicles to move without authorization. A source close to Al-Shikhi family said the colonel was summoned by Haftar’s general command on August 05 and afterward he was banned from leaving the general command’s building under the pretext of interrogation. He as then transferred to military police prison in Kuwifiya along with three officers under his leadership, who all were tortured, the source added, saying he is in jail despite being innocent and no evidence was provided against him.

The Third Meeting of the communication team of immigration through Libya and the Mediterranean was held Monday in Bern, Switzerland. The attendees of the meeting reviewed the needed measures to be taken to protect the refugees in Libya, where thousands are being held in unhuman conditions according to international organizations’ report. Swiss authorities explained their desire for a long-term solution that sees detention centers of the immigrants closed and new international-standards shelter centers opened in the crossing countries, media sources reported.

Zlitin mayor Muftah Hamadi urged in a letter the minister of health to agree on building a station for the medical waste, adding that the city’s municipality bought a land for the project, which will help the nearby healthcare centers and hospitals. Earlier, the head of the committee tasked with getting rid of the medical waste sent a letter to Zlitin environmental sector, telling them of the need to build an area special to the medical waste disposal in safe ways and methods.

One person has drowned in Sooq Al-Khamis Emsaihel on Sunday after his car broke down in at the source of Kharoae Valley in southern Tripoli, local sources said. They added that the body of Abdelhamid Al-Hadi was found Sunday evening, while his wife was rescued and is now in good conditions. The Interior Ministry warned drivers of the going on the roads through the Kharoae Valley and Majinin Valley due to heavy rainfall.
