UN-proposed government’s Minister of Interior, Al-Aref Al-Khuja, met Tuesday in Tripoli with an Italian delegation, headed by the Italian Deputy Foreign Minister. According to the Ministry’s website, the meeting discussed support for the security preparations room in Tripoli by Italy and for the training programs.
The journalist, Abu Bakir Al-Bezanti, was released yesterday night after being kidnapped from Bab Benghashir in downtown Tripoli by an unknown armed group. Al-Bezanti said he was tortured on his back while being interrogated by the unknown armed kidnappers, saying he was asked about his job at the Libya Al-Ahrar TV and his personal posts on Facebook, in which he urged for the return of Jews to Libya.
Local sources from Derna said Dignity Operation vehicles including tanks pulled out of Karsa coast frontline in western Derna, adding that 30 vehicles and tanks went to Daher Al-Hamar frontline after Derna Shura Council’s attack on Khalifa Haftar’s militias in there earlier.
The Derna Shura Council issued a statement on Monday saying they are with any initiatives that aim at building the state of institutions not of militias, saying the Dignity Operation violations and attacks have so far killed a lot of women and children, confirming that Khalifa Haftar and his followers will be brought to justice sooner or later.
