GECOL said Thursday that the gas pipeline that feeds Al-Zawiya power plant is still closed, saying it had been opened for 90 minutes in the morning and then was shut by the same armed group again.

Ubari municipal member, Mohammed Al-Murtada, said their city has started to lose water supplies after the continuous power outages for 12 days led to the shortage of wells’ water, thus leading to the halt of almost all services and the deterioration of the humanitarian situation in the city, adding that the lack of government actions worsened Ubari’s crisis.

Tunis Afrique Presse said the travelers’ movement via Ras Ajdair returned to normal after the Tunisian Ben Guerdane protesters allowed Libyans to pass through both sides, except the trucks, adding that the protesters said this step will be followed by a full reopening of the road to allow the Libyan trucks to pass soon, though the protest will continue.

The head of the Audit Bureau of the House of Representatives, Omar Saleh, dismissed the eastern government’s Local Governing Minister from his post for the greater good of the country, without giving further details.

CBL and Ministry of Finance agreed to deposit 4.8 billion Libyan dinars Thursday in the latter’s account to implement the (decree no.4) that allows paying out salaries and provide basic goods in the first three months of 2017.

Head of Brega Oil Company’s central region branch, Muftah Bazina, said an oil vessel laden with diesel fuel arrived in Misrata port and started to unload the fuel after some delay by weather conditions, adding that the delay could have caused a shutdown in Al-Khums power plant if it wasn’t for Brega Company, which gave the power plant the fuel allocated to gas stations.

The Ghanian team will; arrive in Tripoli Thursday evening to play Al-Ahli Tripoli, which is getting ready for CAF Champions League that is going to kick off on February 09 with a match against All Stars, Ghana’s Soccer league champion.
