General Electricity Company said the equipment that links Libya’s power network with the Tunisian one is ready, adding that the linkage will transmit 240 megawatts of power from Tunisia to Libya, which will help alleviate the suffering of Libyans and stabilize the electricity network in the country.

Sabha has seen an uneasy calm since Sunday night as many parties interfered to end the conflict and sign a truce between the two warring tribes. The General Electricity Company said a new power transmitter plant (30-220 kilovolt) was opened in southern Al-Zawiya city at Al-Jamiya Al-Jadida area. The new plant was linked to the main power network in the city on Sunday. The company said the opening of the new plant will help decrease the power outage hours in southern Al-Zawiya and nearby districts.

Over 15 inmates broke out of Sorman prison after a security breach, according to the prison administration. Sources from the Judicial Police Department said this attempt is considered the biggest prison break attempt Libya has seen over the last period.

Some of the social media pages have circulated the news about the release of two out of the three kidnapped personnel from the UN-proposed government’s Defense Ministry after being kidnapped by an unknown armed group in Tripoli. The two were identified as Mousa Al-Amroni and Ali Al-Agouri, while the third, Fadlallah Al-Shanibi has not been freed yet.

The media spokesperson for Ras Ajdair border with Tunisia, Hafith Moamar, said the border crossing had been halted for two hours from 2:00 pm to 4: 00 pm in protest of the killing of Nadir Al-Omrani, the member of the Islamic Research and Studies Council at the Libyan Fatwa House.
