Three members of the Bani Walid Municipal Council took the legal oath Wednesday in front of the Ministry of Local Government in the presence of Minister, Milad Al-Taher and Mayor, Salem Nuer.
The new members identified to be, Younes Azouz, Hussein Salama and Mabrouka Daw, succeeded former members, Khairi Bin Dallah, Masoud Faraj and Souad El Fassi, after the ones referred to later have publicly declared their support for warlord Khalifa Haftar in his offensive against Tripoli.
Last Thursday, gunmen affiliated with the militia of Haftar tried to storm and occupy the Bani Walid Municipal Council building, but they were stopped by the Bani Walid Security Directorate, according to sources from the city.
