The Mayor of Sabha, Hamed Khayali, said that negotiations are taking place between the armed group that has recently controlled the city airport and the Directorate of Security on handing over the airport.
Khayali explained that the Directorate refused to take over the airport until the armed group moves out.
Earlier, the armed group offered to hand over the airport to the Municipality, but the Mayor refused the deal with them, explaining that this requires a commitment from them that this would not happen again.
