The Tajoura National Heart Center has performed an open heart operation for a 7-year-old girl, weighing 23 km, who had been suffering from a congenital heart defect since birth, and she is in good health now.

The open heart operation, which is difficult and delicate, is the first in the center to be conducted by Libyan medical cadres.
