Misrata International Airport welcomed the first wave of travelers wishing to travel to Istanbul on Sunday, after a four-month interruption.

The airport management said that the first flight was operated by Libyan Wings, confirming that this flight took place according to reports provided by the Civil Aviation Authority.

This comes one day after the announcement by the Civil Aviation Authority of the resumption of regular commercial flights, on the condition that flight operations are restricted to departing flights only, as per instructions by the Presidential Council.
