The General Syndicate of Libyan Doctors said that it would begin a partial strike, beginning next Sunday, in both the public and private sectors.
The union said, in a statement on Tuesday, that the strike would continue until the activation of Resolution No. 855 of 2019, in which a decision was reached to raise the salaries of health sector employees.
These developments come days after the head of the Government of National Unity (GNU), Abdul Hamid Dbeibah, pledged to raise the salaries of the education sector.
