The mayor of Zintan municipality, Mustafa Al-Baroni, described the elections as the best solution for the future of Libya, provided that legal conditions for holding them are fully met.

During his participation in a meeting that included members of the House of Representatives (HoR) and the High Council of State, along with a number of mayors and representatives of diplomatic missions on Tuesday, Al-Baroni asked, whilst directing his words towards various ambassadors, “Where were you when Tripoli was bombed and the aggression took place?”

He added that it should not be a possibility for any of those who supported the aggression against Tripoli to put in place any law that determines the future of the country in the coming years, in consideration of the fact that the goal is not the elections alone in the short-term, but rather to achieve stability in the country in the long-term, as he put it.
