Foreign Minister, Mohamed Sayala has warned of a humanitarian catastrophe in Tripoli, in light of the continuous bombing of civilian facilities by Haftar's militias, including rehabilitation and reform institutions.

In a letter addressed to the Security Council on Thursday, Sayala said he hopes the council will take the appropriate decision that would stop the aggression and protect civilians, in accordance with the UN Charter and international law.

He also called on the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC) to investigate the war crimes committed in Libya and to work towards prosecuting the perpetrators before the ICC in The Hague.
