The Libyan Foreign Minister Najla Al-Mangoush discussed with the US chargé d'affaires, Leslie Ordeman, needed arrangements and measures for reopening the US embassy in Tripoli to make visa applications easier, especially for students and to widen cooperation between the two countries.

Al-Mangoush said steps to prepare for political stability leading to parliamentary and presidential elections as soon as possible according to a correct constitutional basis are underway, in addition to coordinating the efforts of the political process led by Libya for reaching stability.

The US chargé d'affaires reiterated Washington's support for the efforts of the Government of National Unity and its Foreign Ministry in leading the country to elections as per the desires of the Libyan people.
