A Libyan Coast Guard patrol in the Tripoli area rescued 104 illegal immigrants on board a rubber boat, including 91 men and 13 women.

Libyan Navy spokesman Brigadier General, Ayoub Qasim said the rescue operation took place north of the Khoms city.

74 men and 13 women are from Eritrea while the rest are of different nationalities. Qasim pointed out that the migrants landed at the Tripoli naval base and that humanitarian and medical assistance has been offered before their transfer to the Illegal Immigration Centre at Tareeq Sikka.
