The Azerbaijani Press Agency announced the release of three citizens from Azerbaijan last August after the marathon talks held by the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister with Libyan officials.

The Azerbaijani agency said that the three citizens were transferred to Istanbul last Saturday and from there to Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, clarifying that the detainees were among a crew of a Turkish ship who was reported missing since February 27, 2016. The Libyan authorities had brought charges against the three Azerbaijanis of damage to public money due to their involvement in smuggling diesel fuel.
